Mehdi Norowzian and Desley Gregorey formed Joy Films UK in 1998 to produce award winning advertising films and in parallel develop and produce films and TV contents. The first film “Killing Joe” was nominated for an Oscar and went on to win numerous awards at the festivals around the world.
In 2009 Joy Films merged with Ridley Scott Films to expand our reach in Hollywood and main broadcasters in UK. The commercial aspect of the company was transferred to the Joy Films Me office in Dubai to allow more room and time to develop personal projects for Mehdi Norowzian.
Joy Films UK is involved in many projects that are in various stages of development while partnering with Nick Hirschkorn of Feel Films on selected projects. We are looking forward to be involved in production of “Rebel City” to be shot in early part of winter 2018. Written by Chris Ryden, to be produced by Nick Hirsckorn and directed by Mehdi Norowzian.
